This file was analyzed yesterday by somebody, and indicates a failure with avira. Please see link www.virustotal.com/.../

New analysis today and another AV fails: www.virustotal.com/.../

I do think is safe, since I am the one compiling it, but you can always use latest release available in the web.

Latest available 8.3.0 also fails with Avira: www.virustotal.com/.../

Contacted Avira. Awaiting answer.

You mean which version of the nrfjprog? Its 8.0.0 (nrfjprog_release_notes.txt)

Also, just to be sure, you downloaded the tool from Nordic's website? And which version of Windows do you use? (looks like XP)
