Regarding the 5 second button timer there are already several threads discussing this. Here is one with an example. It is not doing exactly what you want, but it is a starting point.

Regarding the ble_lbs example I suggest we continue the discussion in your post here.

I am able to test the ble_lbs example initally it is showing button released and once i press the button it goes to button pressed and also i enabled the notifications but button pressed remains there why it should not go back to button released event inorder to do that what should i do?

Yes thank you so much for your reply because i just wanted to be make sure whether my ideas are correct about the phone ring and could you please tell me how to set the 5 sec long button press timer and how to add the button service event do i have to make custom service or i can use this piece of code to do that function please give me some ideas github.com/.../nrf51-ble-app-lbs

To make a phone respond to a notification you will have to make your own Android app. You can't do that with MCP alone. We have a few Android examples on github. However, Android and Java programming in general is outside the scope of this forum. If you want to make an app I suggest that you visit the Android BLE developer site. Then you can look at our Android examples for inspiration.

I gone through the BLE-GLS example on SDK it is using battery services along with the notifactions so i took this as reference but how can i interface those notification with phone ring applications?

yes i gone through those example but how can i make phone ring by sending notifications in MCP(Master control panel)do i need to create my own android app for testing those functionality or is ther any testing app available can you give me some information about how to interface the notification and the android applications because this is the point am struggling

yes you can test with the nrf51DK, for example, the battery send notifcation every x time on all example! in this link ( github.com/.../nrf51-ble-app-lbs ) you can see how to send notification at custom service with custom uuid through button Regards Enrico

Hi, karen,

when you press a button (es button 1) you need to send a notification to the phone.

In android application you need to intercept the notification and when you receive the notification you can do a phone ring
