I see the following note in the NCS documentation for nRF7002EB: "Deprecated since version v3.0.0: Support for the nRF7002 EB is deprecated for all boards except the Thingy:53. This support will be removed in the next major release of the nRF Connect SDK."

nRF7002 EK is also said not to be supported with the nRF54L15 - so... which combination should we use with the new nRF54?

The nRF52833 is not suited for use with the nRF7002 as it does not have enough RAM and Flash memory to act as a host for the nRF70 series.
The nRF54L15 SoC has sufficient memory and is a suitable host for the nRF70 Series. For evaluation and development, the nRF54L15 DK can be combined with the nRF7002 EB, and three Wi-Fi samples are supported as of nRF Connect SDK v2.8.0.
