How to modify the configuration of DC/DC or LDO mode in the firmware of NCS2.X? Is there reference code or a tutorial? Only outdated information was found in Devzone.

Yes, if the firmware if configured for DC/DC mode it will likely need to be modified in order to work on a PCB desinged for LDO mode.
