1) Does the new nRF54L05 chipset need to recover before program? We execute command line nrfjprog --recover but it is unavailable for nRF54L05. And nRF54L05 can not be programmed by the Programmer APP on the nRF Connect for Desktop.

RE: Issues of program nRF54L05

Hi Tom.Fu,

The DK in the below screenshot is the revision of the nRF52 DK we are using and the voltage of VDD_nRF where the red arrow points is the voltage the nRF54L running on the custom hardware. And the customer used the below screenshot’s J-Link has the same issue. Customer said there have been successful programmed, it seems the chipset has been protected. Now the issue is the custom board can’t be programmed and recovered again. Many thanks.

What revision of the nRF52 DK are you using?

What voltage is the nRF54L running on the custom hardware? It has to match the nRF52 DK voltage.

RE: Issues of program nRF54L05

Hi Hieu

But we have checked the SWD of nRF52DK’s J-link connection with the nRF54L05/nRF54L15 custom board and have confirmed the connection is no problem. There are two customers have the same issue.
I wonder if the issue is somewhere else. How are you connecting to the custom device? What debugger are you using?
The command nrfutil device recover is available for the nRF54L15 DK, but it is still unavailable for the custom board.
Sorry I wasn't being clear. Disabling APPROTECT is just what the recovery procedure actually does in the background. You can use nRF Util to do it, with nrfutil device recover.

RE: Issues of program nRF54L05

Hi Hieu

Thank you so much. But I don't know where and what tool is needed to execute the following steps. Could you give me a hands-on example?

Yes, you will need to disable APPROTECT first. Refer to this Application Note.

I haven't used nrfjprog with it yet, so I am unsure whether nrfjprog supports it. Moving forward, nRF Util is intended to succeed nrfjprog.
