&lt;p&gt;Our bootloader (NSIB) doesn&amp;#39;t use BOOTCONF, but rather RRAMC directly via the fprotect API. A pull request for generating BOOTCONF contents to a hex file and merge it can be found&amp;nbsp; here:&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/pull/20746"&gt;https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/pull/20746&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It does indeed seem like the READ value is not really usable from what I can tell.&lt;/p&gt;
