I am a little confused still about what the issue is like, because in your opening post, you said both that the command is working for you, and that "not every tool accepts the command."

In what setup does it work, and in what setup does it not?

I need the correct CMake enable argument to use the 'sysbuild' build system. By default, native CMake calls will not use sysbuild.

I saw the NCS tool creates cmake presets, however, the tool only uses the West build system so I am not sure how these are being use.

I am afraid I am not fully clear what you want to achieve yet. Could you please give more details?

I am not an expert with CMake, but I know that the nRF Connect for VS Code extensions can create CMake Presets, and it should be using the built in CMake in NCS. I find this indicating that the built-in CMake version should work too.
