Yes, if they not allow it, we need to transmit 128 kbps .aac codec strem to nrf 9151 then to nrf5340 then nrf5340 needs to translate it into 128 kbps .lcr codec

From what I can see Spotify is quite strict with any access to audio, so I would personally recommend making sure that you are able to get permission from them first, if using any other platform is not an option.

Thanks! Yes, the Spotify Web API streams audio in either 128 kbps AAC or 256 kbps formats. To make this work for our use case, we are aiming to establish a special agreement with Spotify that allows us to access the stream and transcode it to 128 kbps LC3. The plan is to then forward the LC3-encoded stream to the nRF9151, which will transmit it to the nRF5340. From there, the audio will be sent to earbuds that support LE Audio.

Hello Tomas,

You should test the speed yourself with the iperf3 function in the modem shell sample.

This older case can also be relevant: nRF9160 DK maximum throughput

But beware that the data on LTE-M networks can be quite costly per MB, if you're going to stream audio.

Also, I don't think that spotify has any user-friendly APIs for downloading the audio data from their servers.
