Hi,

Just to confirm, you are disconnecting from the AP, correct?

If you fully disconnect from the Wi-Fi AP, then it will take in the order of seconds to reconnect to an access point.

If you want to verify that your application uses the optimal amount of time, you can test with the wifi/shell sample and use "wifi connect -s "SSID" -p "Passphrase" -k <keytype>" and check how long it takes there.

We are attempting this at 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and 8-hour intervals, and we are facing the same issue in all three cases. We are using the API conn_mgr_if_connect(stpIface); for Wi-Fi connection, which takes around 4.5 to 5 seconds. How can we reduce this time?

Hi,

It is quite common that it takes a couple of seconds if you initiate a wifi connect operation, especially with the DHCP request/response.

How often do you wake up and do a re-connect over Wi-Fi?
