Hello Dejans,

Thanks for the assist. I was talking to another FAE at Nordic and he suggested this link: Exercise 1 - Nordic Developer Academy That was exactly what I needed plus some other clunky things.

I had to put nrfutil.exe into its own folder and create a path to it which was shown in the link above. I had to power the DK up and do the path BEFORE running VS Code and that was the only way it would recognize the path and also even see that the DK was available (won't even show me the CONNECTED DEVICES section if one not available before starting software).

I had to delete the project and start another one, this time it let me select the latest SDK and toolchain together. After that, it was as simple as anyone would have wanted to build and flash the code to the board. I couldn't believe how simple it was, as long as you know to jump through all the hoops and get the environment all set up before shutting down the software and restarting it.

On to bigger and actual problems... 🙂

Have you tried to use Quick Start guide?
Further information is available in developing with nrf9151 guide.
Since you are just starting, it might be useful for you to look at Nordic Cellular IoT Fundamentals course.
