I have a legacy project that is using nrf5 sdk v17.0.2. I need to add the BLE DFU functionality to this project based on the nRF52840. Are there any examples on how to do this with his version of the sdk? I cannot find any examples provided

RE: nrf5 SDK BLE DFU

Hi Hung,

Thank you! I got it to work reading the documentation and your blog.

RE: nrf5 SDK BLE DFU

Hi,
You can take a look at the documentation of the SDK. We do provide BLE DFU solution in the SDK.
Here is where DFU is described: https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/sdk_nrf5_v17.0.2/page/lib_bootloader_modules.html

The bootloader example are here: https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/sdk_nrf5_v17.0.2/page/examples_bootloader.html

https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/sdk_nrf5_v17.0.2/page/ble_sdk_app_dfu_bootloader.html

My suggestion is to get familiar with the examples before you try to implement the bootloader to your application.

I made a blog here some time ago , it might be useful: Getting started with Nordic's Secure DFU bootloader, a step by step guide
