&lt;p&gt;There has been previously reported cases of no access to serial port which occured&amp;nbsp;If your user is not in the correct group (typically dialout or plugdev). Could you maybe make sure that your user is in the dialout group:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;sudo usermod -aG dialout $USER&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also, this might sound silly, but please could you try changing the cables?&lt;/p&gt;
