&lt;p&gt;I’m not completely sure about this issue, as I haven’t worked with this particular module.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the overlay file, I noticed that the reset GPIO lines are commented out. According to the&lt;a href="https://www.hpinfotech.ro/SSD1309.pdf"&gt; SSD1309 datasheet&lt;/a&gt; (see page 26), this reset is necessary. Please also verify that GPIO pin 14 is connected to the RES pin on the display.&lt;/p&gt;
