&lt;p&gt;Where did you find the information that NCS v2.6.1 only has Bluetooth v5.4? From what I can tell, Bluetooth v5.4 was introduced with NCS v2.4.0. At least according to the &lt;a href="https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-latest/page/nrfxlib/softdevice_controller/CHANGELOG.html#d2656e3495"&gt;SoftDevice Controller changelog&lt;/a&gt;:&lt;/p&gt;
