I am facing the same problem as the original author. Even when I set the GPIO to "Input rising edge event" or "Input falling edge event", the buck regulator that I link it to stays off only for the duration of the pressing of the button.

With this configuration I would have expected the buck converter to switch states upon each pressing the button. First press -> on, second press -> off. (or vice versa)

That however is not the case. As soon as I switch "On/Off Control" from "Software" to "GPIO0", the buck turns on. If I then press GPIO0 and hold it, BUCK 1 turns off until I release GPIO0 again.

How can I achieve this "clicking event" behavior?

The nPM1300 GPIOs can be set to input rising edge event or input falling edge event instead of an input logic level. Click on the drop down in nPM PowerUP and the settings in the GPIO tab mode dropdown.

Is it possible to do in the npm powerup app? If so, how should it be setup to allow for it?

That should be possible yes, this is how it was designed to work,. bucks follow the gpio state

I have set it up like this, but it only turns the buck off as long as the button remains pressed down. Once the button is released it turns the buck on again. Is there a way to keep the buck off when the button is pressed and released and only turning back on when the button is pressed again?

Did you define the GPIOs as input?
