I have an nrf54l15 device and I would like to send a pure sinusoidal tone and measure the phase difference, retrieve I/Q values at the other device. This is much like multi-carrier phase based ranging but as I would like to change some parameters

RE: Sinusoidal tone transmission and I/Q data retrieval

Ok, I got a reply, despite it being late friday night in Norway 🙂

Currently, this is not possible. We might have some documentation on how to approach this at some point later in time, but it is not a trivial task to do so. And even though we do provide libraries (distance measurement and channel sounding) that does these calculations, we do not provide instructions on how to replicate this, unfortunately.

But as of now, what our SoftDevice controller team said is that we don't have any way, with our current documentation, to send a pure sinusoidal tone and measure the phase difference, nor retreive I/Q values, unfortunatly.

Best regards,

I need to pass this question to our SoftDevice Controller team (the ones working on our Bluetooth Low Energy stack). I will get back to you as soon as I know more.
