For me it was the jlink firmware. It is also a known issue for jlink. The disconnect issue is gone after the firmware update.

Use the JinkConfig.app to update the jlink firmware.

Thanks for the replay. I did all setup process all over again. Turned out that I did't install nRF Utils properly. For MacOS users, I recommend doing it this way: Installing nRF Util from the web (default). Then even though I installed everything correctly and had everything up to date I still had notifications problem. But this time disconnecting the flash drive in Disk Utility worked for me. Hope that helps for future users.

Download the latest driver from Segger and update the jlink firmware to the latest
