As the NRF7002 takes about 400ms to start up from shutdown, we would like to use the very low power deep sleep function for quick startup. Unfortunately, due to the archtitecture of the design, the main power rail will be shut off when

RE: NRF7002 Sleep mode power supply

Hi,

The power sequence for both powering up and down is provided here:

https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ps_nrf7002/page/chapters/hw_layout/doc/hw_layout.html#ariaid-title13

It is effectively VBAT and IOVDD that needs to be supplied. If your rails goes down, you should do a full power sequence afterwards.
Is there a specific pin out of all the power pins on the NRF7002 that is used for deep sleep?
No, there is not. Such a state, ie. the "sleep" state, as defined here:

https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ps_nrf7002/page/chapters/functional/doc/power_states.html

Is a dynamic state, and cannot be read or indicated on a pin directly. This has to be detected in firmware, by disconnecting the wifi link.

Kind regards,

Håkon
