 In order to run pip, I first had to install Python for Windows. &lt;p&gt;This was a necessary step. T&lt;span&gt;he SDK’s bundled Python is not directly exposed for pip installs outside the managed environment.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;The SBOM tool uses&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://scancode-toolkit.readthedocs.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"&gt;Scancode-Toolkit&lt;/a&gt;, which can have platform-specific requirements. The error about&amp;nbsp;&lt;code dir="ltr"&gt;&amp;#39;platform_machine == &amp;quot;x86_64&amp;quot;&amp;#39;&lt;/code&gt;&amp;nbsp;suggests a mismatch between your Python environment and the expected platform. This is likely why you were getting errors after manually installing the scancode-toolkit.&amp;nbsp;Make sure you are using a 64-bit version of Python on a 64-bit Windows system.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If these warnings are not blocking your workflow, you may continue using it..&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;m now getting quite a few of these types of warnings when running the ncs-sbom tool but, I&amp;#39;m guessing, these are due to an issue with the scancode-toolkit?&lt;/p&gt;
