If you want to test the RF output power for an unmodulated carrier signal, you should have a look at the Radio test (short-range) sample.

Regarding your issue. How is the custom board connected to the CMW 100 here? We have multiple cases on this issue already, so please give some of these a read, and let us know if you don't get anywhere.

Either a certified tester or with a terminal connection if possible on your end. Using another DK if you have one should also be possible.

Susheel is out of office, so I'm taking over here. The DTM app unfortunately does not support custom boards by default, and only the development kits are tested to work on the DTM app. I'd recommend you use one of the other test methods in the Direct Test Mode sample project.

i am using the sample of DTM in VS code . I only do the change in my overlay file where i configure the UART TX ,RX . Rest of the data are same . but when i start test in NRF connect for desktop DTM then there will be showing the error that i attached below.

Can you please explain a bit in details what do you mean when you write "it shows the error"? If you run the sample sample built for the DK instead of your custom board, does everything work ok?

Hi Sunaina,

Assuming you are running DTM from latest nRF Connect SDK, if you check the documentation for DTM sample, you will see that the nRF53 uses an experimental remmote HCI implementation. And if you are using custom board then make sure that you have selected right configuration for your board like in ncs\v3.0.2\nrf\samples\bluetooth\direct_test_mode\remote_hci\boards\nrf5340dk_nrf5340_cpuapp.overlay etc.
