BTW the devacademy page recommends v8.18 (I guess SEGGER has a very rapid release cycle).

It looks like the version of JLink installed is 8.50. That might be causing issues as the latest verified version for nrfutil is v8.42. See the instructions here:

Can you try installing v8.42 and see if the error is still present?
