While the Cat-M, Cat-NB1 and Cat-NB2 standard max data rates are easily available, I have found several other IoT modems that support e.g. Cat-M, but not at full data rate

RE: nRF9151 Cat-M and Cat-NB peak data rates

Thanks Priyanka,

It would be useful for this performance info to be in the chip datasheet rather than just in the academy training documents.

I have noticed that many IoT modems report different achievable data rates, and the LTE-CatM information I have seen suggests the standard supports higher data rates (e.g. Quectel BG95 and Quectel BG96 both support MTE-CatM, but with different possible data rates, and some summary documents support a maximum of 1mbps, presumably with higher power consumption and more air time).

Is the throughput on the nRF9151 a hardware limit? Or a limit of processing performance?

Regards,
