Question is still why after writing /thingy91x_mfw-2.0.2_sdk-3.0.0/img_app_bl/thingy91x_nrfcloud_multi_service_coap_2025-05-08_3bfc4657.hex to 91X is Quick Start not recognizing the 91X? Is this the correct fw for Quick Start or is there some other fw that came initially with the 91X for Quick Start?

For Nordic hardware like the nRF9160DK or Thingy:91, the device ID is "nrf-" followed by the 15 digit IMEI. Example: "nrf-123456789012345"

In an earlier Nordic conversation, Tacker, Markus <Markus.Tacker@nordicsemi.no> mentioned that,
You can add your Thingy:91 X to nrfcloud.com using the Quick Start app in nRF Connect for Desktop.

(not sure if Markus is saying QS is for app or hello, but you can register 91X directly with hello).

This is problematic as mentioned in my original case that I'm unable to have Quick Start recognize my 91X connected by USB directly to my laptop.
Basically, is this the hex the same type that came originally with the 91X that will be recognized by Quick Start?
Using programmer write to nRF91,
/thingy91x_mfw-2.0.2_sdk-3.0.0/img_app_bl/thingy91x_nrfcloud_multi_service_coap_2025-05-08_3bfc4657.hex
