Did you get it working with a uf2 you made? How did you make the uf2 file?. I couldn't get it to work with the uf2 from the nrfconnect

I face the same issue with the Promicro nRF52840 board. Yes, it works well when programmed with an UF2 file. But this is not an integration to the nRF Connect SDK exploiting the full potential of the IDE. Is there a way to flash it with an alternative bootloader allowing for loading and debugging out of the nRF Connect SDK?

1. The board came with a UF2 bootloader, so I can short RST and GND twice quickly and a disk called NICENANO shows up. I can drag the UF2 to it. I also tried the Adafruit UF2 bootloader.

Do you have the PCB layout for your Aliexpress board? It looks like, from the link:

That the led should be on P0.15, and this is the same as the board files, in promicro_nrf52840_nrf52840_common.dts:

	leds {
		compatible = "gpio-leds";
		led0: led_0 {
			gpios = <&gpio0 15 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>;
			label = "Red LED";
		};
	};

I am not able to test the application, because I don't have the bootloader that is pre-flashed on the promicro board. I believe you should reach out to the producer (perhaps this "joric" user on Github) and ask if they know why the application is not working as intended.

I can build the blink sample, and I build for board `promicro_nrf52840`. I flash it with the zephyr.uf2 file that is created - however, the LED on the board doesn’t blink.

Are you able to build the blinky sample? (ncs\zephyr\samples\basic\blinky)

What board are you building for (when you write your build command or set up the build configuration in VS Code)?

Does it build successfully? Are you able to flash it using west?
