I'm evaluating the nrf5340-DK board. I have a question about LED5 state. I tried following power sources:

usb J2, sw9 in VDD position - LED5 lights and I can detect board on PC
usb J3, sw9 in USB position - LED5 not lights and I cann't detect

RE: nrf5340 led5 state

Hi Petr,

LED5 on the nRF5340 DK is associated with the interface MCU, which is powered when USB is connected to J2 (the interface MCU USB connector):Interface MCU power When you power the board via J2 and SW9 is in the VDD position, the interface MCU is powered, and LED5 lights up—this is the expected behavior (and yes, the board is also detected by the PC).

When you power the board via J3 (the nRF5340 SoC USB connector) with SW9 in the USB position or a coin cell with SW9 in VDD position, the interface MCU is not powered, so LED5 does not light up, and the board is not detected by your PC through the interface MCU.

Regards,

Swathy
