The first build after creating a new build configuration succeeds. But the extension doesn't seem to catch on that it succeeds.

Edvin I'm seeing a similar problem. We are also using a toolchain that has been installed in a custom directory and an NCS version specified and imported via west.yml.

SDK: "3rd Party v3.0.0*

Toolchain: "nRF Connect SDK Toolchain v3.0.0"

I can no longer build at all via the extension. Can't flash either.

I can build via command line fine.

Can you take a screenshot of the entire screen? Including the build log from the nRF Connect terminal (the one I showed in my reply on Friday)? And one showing the workspace (explorer) where all the folders are minimized, like this:

I also found that previous versions are available in VS Code, but I was using Cursor, and previous versions are not available there. (The problems above also occur in VS Code). So a previous version can be downloaded and installed by searching for the extension and right clicking > install specific version.

In my original post I was using nRF52DK, so yes it happens on all.

I did show the terminal output in the screenshot in my last post. There isn't any, beyond "Flashing build_reactor_release to nRF52 DK". I also see "No mainBuild in Sysbuild" in the extension uncaught extensions at that point. It seems that error is the root of the problems.

I don't doubt that there might be an issue, but can you please show the Terminal output from when you are trying to flash?

I noticed that you are using a separate programmer/debugger from what we have on the DKs. That is fine, but for debugging purposes, does this issue also happen if you are trying to flash a DK? Or only when you have a standalone programmer?

Perhaps you don't want to update the VS Code version again, but if you do, can you please check the terminal output (from the terminal that is trying to flash the application)?

I was able to restore the previous version of the extension from a backup. It's very disruptive to release this update with such an egregious bug and with no previous versions available to revert to.
