Glad you're interested in the nrf54l15 for this purpose. As you're probably already aware the 54L15 does not have a physical QSPI, but it has the sQSPI instead. The link you posted together with https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-latest/page/nrfxlib/softperipheral/doc/sQSPI/nrf54L15_porting_v1_1_0.html are the current guides we have for using the software based peripheral.

Since you also mention that you're relatively new to Nordic SoCs I'll plug our academy courses as well at https://academy.nordicsemi.com/. I strongly recommend a walkthrough of both the fundamentals and intermediate course (as well as the BLE topic since you mention that) to familiarize yourself with the nRF54l15dk and the SDK.

They should be roughly the same, yes unless they also have modes for other SPI modes (single, duo, quad, octo).
