&lt;p&gt;All nRF5-series devices retains the GPIO state while in sleep.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Please note that at the time of a wakeup condition occurs, this will cause a system reset.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This means that there is a small gap between the device being in reset until it starts to execute code again, where the pins are undefined.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is highly recommended that you have external pull resistors for such a scenario.&lt;/p&gt;
