I am working on a project where I need maximum range and TX power, since my Bluetooth device will be implanted the signal is strongly attenuated I need maximum output power. I am having a hard time setting the TX power to the maximum

RE: Activating phy coded and 3 dbm TX power

Hi,

Can you try to set
https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-2.4.4/page/kconfig/index.html#CONFIG_BT_CTLR_TX_PWR_PLUS_3 = y

For guidance on coded phy check out:
https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-2.4.4/page/nrf/samples/bluetooth/central_hr_coded/README.html
https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-2.4.4/page/nrf/samples/bluetooth/peripheral_hr_coded/README.html

When you say implanted, I assume you are aware that 2.4GHz works really poorly in human body since it's mostly of water and thereby absorbed, so the range will be very short.
