Are you referring to the Bluetooth Low Energy Fundamentals course in DevAcademy? If so, this course is based on nRF Connect SDK, not nRF5 SDK. The requirement to take the Bluetooth Low Energy Fundamentals course is to go through Lesson 1 of the nRF Connect SDK Fundamentals course. That lesson covers tools and SDK installation, and you can choose which version of nRF Connect SDK you want to work with. It is recommended that you go through the whole course as well, but not required.

Best regards,

Maria
