Hi,

You are correct, I see the same error when building the sample.

However, as I stated in my previous reply, since the cluster is not in the official specification, I recommend treating it as unsupported and work in progress.

sorry if wasn't clear

generation isn't a problem, however it wont build with a Timer cluster server

ive checked this both in linux and again in windows, this morning, with a clean (create new application from sample) copy of matter light bulb

if you start with a correctly building light bulb

use zap-gui to add a Timer cluster server

it will no longer build successfully

It is from https://github.com/CHIP-Specifications/connectedhomeip-spec, which is not publicly available. I recommend treating any cluster not in the official specification downloaded from CSA's websites as work in progress and not officially supported.

I do not get any errors when adding the Timer cluster to the light bulb sample in nRF Connect SDK v3.1.1. There are some warnings, but the files are generated successfully.

it also appears timer is not implemented properly as if you select it in zap-gui it breaks building, due to missing files see issue 41424 and this thread

Hi,

The Scenes Management cluster issue has been reported to the person who implemented it in the Matter SDK.

Regarding the Timer cluster, it seems like the cluster has been allocated, but it is not provisional or certifiable. It could be that it is some kind of work in progress.

Hi,

I see that the Scenes Management cluster is provisional in the upstream Matter repository as well: https://github.com/project-chip/connectedhomeip/blob/master/src/app/zap-templates/zcl/data-model/chip/scene.xml#L74.
I have reported this internally.

I could not find anything about the Timer cluster in the specification either, but I have asked internally about this as well. In the meantime, the XML file for the cluster can be found here: https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-connectedhomeip/blob/master/src/app/zap-templates/zcl/data-model/chip/timer-cluster.xml.
