Hi, Using nRFgo Studio I get the following screenshot:

It doesn't detect my device although it is connected.

Hi michaelp.

The problem is it says that "your firmware is outdated".

Try to program again your board (if you need help to install it, press "u" to open User Guide and see page 5/17) with the file "ble-sniffer_nRF51822_1.0.1_1111_Sniffer.hex" that is in the folder "Firmware" with nRFgo Studio (you don´t need to program softdevice to sniffer) and after launch "ble-sniffer_win_1.0.1_1111_Sniffer.exe".

If the problem persist, try to download again ble-sniffer_win_1.0.1.
