If you are familiar with the nRF5 SDK and/or starting a new development I would highly recommend you to check out the nRF Connect SDK Bare Metal option we have just launched for the nRF54L-series:

We do not recommend starting with new development on the nRF5 SDK, the bare metal option for the nRF54L should give you the same and better solution.

If you still want to develop on the nRF5 SDK please only use the specific tools that was mentioned in the specific release notes for those releases, ref:
