Here is the feedback from team:

The next release of nrfutil device will contain a fix for this, which should hopefully resolve the issue. But that wouldn't fix the issue that you are seeing with the Direct Mode Test app, for that a new release of the app will be necessary.

The next release of nrfutil will release probably next week.

Thanks for letting us know. It seems hardware is ok as it works on previous version. I can't see any information related to this on the change log of version 2.8.6.
