Hi Gopika,

I don't think there was any change security wise for BLE between Bluetooth 5.0 and 5.2. Refer to these documents:

If there is any particular feature you want to be sure of, you can name it and we can check.

Otherwise, you can be assured that both the nRF52832 and the nRF52805 are qualified for Bluetooth 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, and 6.0.

The thing is the people from my company want to upgrade to Ble 5.2 earlier they have been working with 5.0 , why they have to upgrade because it is for more security they say .Ble 5.2 provide more security it seems.

What kind of features are you concerned about? And why are you worried about the Bluetooth version?

Hey Hieu,

I am currently using mbn52832 so if i want 5.2 ble version , as per these doc i do not want to change the chip , just keep it as such and it will be able to handle the features of till ble 6.0 version . Is it ?

Hello Gopika,

The nRF52805 and nRF52832 are both actually qualified for Bluetooth 6.0, as of the current time of writing.

The Product Specifications were written when Bluetooth 5.0 was the latest release, and that is why only 5.0 was written there. This unfortunately is unlikely to be changed.

As for the number on our Products web page, that is indeed an oversight. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I will notify the relevant team.
