Awesome. Thank you so much! The new architecture for the python driver is much better than the old one. Note to anyone else reading this, the pc-ble-driver-py on pypi.python.org is different than the ble-driver-win on Nordic's site, even though both are version 0.5.0.

Hi,
the bug has actually been fixed though a new release with prebuilt binaries has not been created yet. If you are willing to build from source you can go to pc-ble-driver on github, or you can use the new pc-ble-driver-py which is also available as a Python pip package (pip install pc-ble-driver-py).

Do you know when the next version of pc-ble-driver will be released? This bug has been around for a long time now.

Hi,
pc-ble-driver 0.5.0 has known issues which may cause problems when reopening the port. Unplugging the usb should normally not be necessary if you reset the chip before reopening, either with reset button or by calling nrfjprog --reset.
The next version of pc-ble-driver will include an improved transport layer which removes this problem and removes the need to reset the chip.
