We are performing current measurements on a nRF-9151 DK using the Power Profiler Kit II. The attached picture shows the 9151 and PPK-II connected. Notice that we don't have anything connected to the Logic Ports of the PPK-II.

Please refer to the nRF9151 DK user guide and current measurement section here. You can use the pins on P22 (if I recall correctly) for VDD and GND. For the digital pins you can connect to the GPIOs to see the levels of them in the Power Profiler app.

Best regards,

I'm using the PPK2 with an nRF9151 DK. What pin on the 9151 DK can I use as the VCC which connects to the PPK2 logic port VCC pin. Also, what pin on the 9151 DK can I use as the GND which connects to the PPK2 logic port GND pin. Last question, is there a digital signal on the 9151 DK which is always high which I can connect to the logic port Dx on the PPK2?

Thanks.

Peter

To use the logic ports, connect the following, and the digital signal should be visible on the logic port Dx pins:

• DUT's VCC to the PPK2 logic port VCC pin
• DUT's GND to the PPK2 logic port GND pin
• DUT's digital signal to any logic port Dx pin

How are the digital channels connected exactly on your end? In general, issues with digital channels in the past has been due to incorrect connections of the digital channels.

Best regards,

Simon

RE: Power Profiler Kit II digital channel data readings

Hi Simon,

I'm using the Python API which you linked to. Since I haven't used the Logic Ports before, can you suggest a simple way to set the Logic Ports low and also high so I can check the digital channel readings one by one?

Regards,

Peter

RE: Power Profiler Kit II digital channel data readings

Hi Peter

I don't have a good explanation as to why digital channel 1 would be set high, and it's hard to tell without knowing what code you're using for reading the PPK2 data exactly? Please share some more details on what exactly you do.

What you can try is to use the unofficial Python API available here and see if the same behavior can be observed there: https://github.com/IRNAS/ppk2-api-python Multiple users on DevZone is already using this API and I can't recall seeing any questions on unexpected levels of digital channels there.

Best regards,
