We have developed a custom PCB using nRF9151 and nPM1300 . In our setup, sometimes the PMIC powers up and works correctly, but other times it does not start at all. We are not sure what is causing this issue.

We have an errata [41] LOADSW/LDO: LDO startup might cause reset for Engineering revision E about the resetting of the device at LDO startup due to voltage drop on VBAT. When the device is powered from VBAT, LDO is supplied by VSYS; If VBAT voltage level goes below 300mV during starting up in LDO mode, device resets.

You can also check if VDDIO and VOUT1 is connected by jumper.

The nPm1300 requires a startup VSET condition for the BUCK regulators (for VOUTs). Can you check your VSET pins are not floating? It could be one of the reasons for not powered up by nPM1300 consistently.

The default set up has jumpers to connect VSET1 and VSET2 to fixed resistors ((RSET1 = 47 kΩ for 1.8 V, RSET2 = 100 kΩ for 3.0 V)) or to GND for disabling
