You should not use PCA10036 for current measurements, because of the long errata. Use PCA10040 v0.9.0 with s132 2.0.0-7.alpha or PCA10040 v1.1.0 with s132 2.0.0.

If button 1 puts PCA10036 in connection mode while on PCA10040 it is still in sleep mode, please be aware that the pins used by the buttons have changed between these two kits. Compile the example with the right board definition. In Keil you can find it in "options for target -> C/C++ -> Define". Change it to BOARD_PCA10040.

Hi Stefan, Thank you,very much, I have used the older version nrf52 board to test the power consumption, but i set the connection interval 100ms and the data packet size 20 byte and modified the main for loop as the tut said. but the DC RMS value is aroud 2mA which is higher than the expected avg current value(65.9uA) in the Current measurement guide tutorial, Do you know why?

See the nRF52 compatibility matrix for what softdevice and SDK is compatible with what nRF52 IC revision.

For example, for nRF52832 Engineering B (PCA10040 0.9.0) you need S132 2.0.0-7.alpha softdevice and BLE example application from nRF5 SDK 11.0.0-2.alpha
