Hi Simon,

Thank you for the link. I have the package already installed, but the error still pops up.
But as I said, everything is running now on Windows, so I am fine.
Perhaps I will switch to a debian-based Linux distro in the future and then I will give it a try.

Do you still see the same error message in openSUSE. From the log it seems like you're missing the ncurses package (https://software.opensuse.org/package/ncurses) in your environment. Please make sure this is installed and see if you get further in the debugging process.

Officially we don't have support for openSUSE though, so what we can help with from a technical standpoint is a bit limited here, but you're welcome to try of course.

Yes, nrfutil was instelled.

In Windows, I solved the problem by deleting everything from nordic (nrfutil, ncs folder, etc.) and start the install process all over. Suddenly, the download worked and everything installed nicely.
So for Windows, my problem is solved. In fact, I started developing.

Regarding openSUSE, is there any fix for the above error when debugging?

Hello,

Can you check if the issue you’re seeing is related to nrfutil? Have you installed nrfutil? If so, please try installing the SDK using nrfutil commands and see if that works.
If it throws an error, please report back with the generated error message or log.

You can follow the steps mentioned here, refer to the steps under the Command Line section. Also, see the nRF Utils section.
