I'm just wondering if the nRF91 (nRF9160 or nRF9151 DK) can use vanilla Zephyr instead of NCS for getting GNSS data (using the GNSS API)?
I've been using NCS for a while, but I'm starting a different project that uses components

RE: nRF91 with Vanilla Zephyr

Hi,

The (modemlib) GNSS API is not part of the Zephyr and there is no Zephyr GNSS driver implementation for nrf91.

Best regards,
Dejan

RE: nRF91 with Vanilla Zephyr

Thank you for your response. I did look at the sample before I start the forum question. Sorry for not explain it clearly:

- In the GNSS bindings, I don't see a Nordic compatible one. That's why I was asking if it's possible to get it working on nRF91. Would the `gnss-nmea-generic.yaml` work with nRF9151 DK?

- I can't find any information/example for using upstream GNSS API, all I can find is Nordic GNSS interface, which needs to be use with NCS, if I understand that correctly?

RE: nRF91 with Vanilla Zephyr

Hi,

You can look at Zephyr GNSS sample.
