OK thanks Kenneth. Looks like I should be OK with Timer4 then, I see some PPI channels are reserved but I'm using

nrfx_gppi_channel_alloc() rather than allocating myself (I can put some debug in to verify)

Looks to me rather like you didn't read my post either. I said I wanted to make sure I had no timer conflicts before chasing down the kernel panic.

nRF52832 doesn't have a Port 2 anyways... apart from that you've nailed it.
