In order to create a new bond, you need to erase the old bond on the peripheral as well. You can also allow repairing by setting allow_repairing = true in line 246 in the ble_app_gls example, but that may expose a security flaw. A better choice is to delete the old bond on the peripheral

Hi, I'm having a similr problem, trying with 2 different phones and one tablet, i runned the gls demo, just changed the name of the device and added code for having fixed password: At the very first run the connection is ok, but if I remove the bond from the NRFtoolbox I am unable to reconnect. To recover the connection I have to use NrfGo, erase all and reprogram the softdeviceBelow my specs:

Hi Stefan, I was unable to establish a connection in any example. I have now acquired a new NRF52-DK V1.1.0 which has resolved my problems. I believe the hardware may have been damaged in some way and that was the cause of my problem.

Fair enough, that should be working fine. Can you point to a specific example that is not working or are you unable to establish connection in any example? Try to run an example from a fresh SDK, i.e. download/unzip a fresh SDK and run an example from that. Also, don't use "packs" just normal folder structured SDK.

I am using PCA10040 V0.9.0, SDK nRF5_SDK_11.0.0-2.alpha_bc3f6a0 and softdevice: s132_nrf52_2.0.0-7.alpha_softdevice. My board previously worked with this configuration and I believe I am following the compatibility matrix

Can you tell me what PCA10040 version you have? What SDK version are you using and what softdevice? Are you following the compatibility recommendation of the nRF52 compatibility matrix?

Unfortunately I don't think the issue lies on the phone side, I have installed the nRF toolbox on another phone which has never previously been used with the device and the same issue persists.

Hi Sam

Perhaps the problem is on the phone side. Try resetting the phone and try again. That will surely erase all cache GATT tables from the phone and reset the Bluetooth hardware. Usually it works also to go to bluetooth settings, forget all bonded devices and/or disable bluetooth and enable it again. The last approach is though to reset the phone if nothing else works.

Is it possible that I've unintentionally put the radio peripheral into a non-connectable state? I've been searching and came across this post.

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated - this work forms my final year project at University which is due in a matter of weeks!
