During design and schematic entry I used the online datasheet to select GPIO capability. I was advised that I should try out the pin planner to confirm that pin choices are acceptable.

I noticed that one of my PWM outputs, planned on Port

RE: Pin planner inconsistency to datasheet

Hi,

Thanks for the update. He looked into the GPIOs and fixed that one yesterday, as well as will look into the LPCOMP and COMP. Thanks again, for sharing your findings!

I believe this one is also supposed to support port 3, however we have not tested it on our side.

It would also be great if the comparators (LPCOMP and COMP) were added. I've set them up as GPIO's just to make sure I claim them, but it doesn't properly check usage of resources.

Please let Helmut Lord know the planner was appreciated! It did confirm a lot of functionality and for the most part confirmed my pin selections are likely to work for the intended purpose!

RE: Pin planner inconsistency to datasheet

Hi,

Please note that while made by a Nordic employee, the pin planner (https://pinplanner.app/) is not an official Nordic application. There is also a disclamer about this at the bottom of the pin planner page.

If there are any discrepancies between the pin planner and official documentation, the official documentation is to be trusted. In this case, the datasheet states that GPIO port P3 can be used for PWM, for all three PWM instances.

I have notified Helmut Lord (who made the pin planner tool) about the issue, so that he can fix it. Thank you for the report!

Similarly would be good to know if comparators aren't included because of a known issue.
