We’re starting to implement our solution in an nRF SDK project (version 3.2.2) targeting the nRF54L15 component. From a cryptography standpoint, we will need to use MbedTLS to verify X.509 certificates signed with ECDSA (secp192r1

RE: Clarification Needed: secp192r1 Support for NRF54L15

I fully agree with you. However, existing systems use this curve, and we should still maintain compatibility to communicate with them. Normally, the library should support it as a legacy feature and should not remove it.

RE: Clarification Needed: secp192r1 Support for NRF54L15

Why are you using secp192r1? According to csrc.nist.gov/.../final, that curve is nowadays disallowed for signature generation, and signature verification is only approved for legacy use.

RE: Clarification Needed: secp192r1 Support for NRF54L15

Hello,
