&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Overlays are applied per FW image&amp;nbsp;as explained in this course here:&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://academy.nordicsemi.com/courses/nrf-connect-sdk-intermediate/lessons/lesson-8-sysbuild/topic/sysbuild-configuration/"&gt;https://academy.nordicsemi.com/courses/nrf-connect-sdk-intermediate/lessons/lesson-8-sysbuild/topic/sysbuild-configuration/&lt;/a&gt;. If you for example are running &amp;quot;ipc_radio&amp;quot; on the network core, you can create a file named ipc_radio.overlay in your sysbuild folder which will automatically be applied to that build. If you are using the VS code extension, you can also use the UI to check if an overlay is being included in the build.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
