Hi Syed, thanks for the answer. I now understand that FTPT is not supported/possible. I just wondered if you have gotten any additional information internally on this issue?

The current preview firmware supports FT and PT as operational modes and FTPT mode is not yet supported. I have raised this internally and will update you very soon. Thanks

I currently have a DECT NR+ setup running on the nRF9151, based on the HELLO DECT sample using nRF Connect SDK v3.3.0preview2. I am seeking your guidance on how to route data across a small NR+ cluster, specifically in the following topology:

[cluster1] Leaf (Node1) ⇄ Router (Relay) ⇄ Leaf (Node2) [cluster2]

Could you please advise on the correct approach, configuration, or APIs required to enable multi‑hop data routing between Leaf nodes through the Router?

Thanks for the answer, I understand this is a preview and decisions and implementations are not final. However, is there a way to run devices in FTPT mode regardless?

Hi,

The dect_device_type_t field accepts DECT_DEVICE_TYPE_FT (0x01) or DECT_DEVICE_TYPE_PT (0x02). The failure bitmap 0x0004 in the error message corresponds to DECT_SETTINGS_WRITE_SCOPE_DEVICE_TYPE, confirming that the value 0x03 is being rejected at settings validation.

Whether combined FT+PT operation is intended to be supported through this field in the current preview firmware is something we need to verify internally. We will follow up shorty after confirmation.
