Thank you for your reply. I tried setting CONFIG_BT_MAX_PAIRED = 4, but I still encountered the same problem. I'm using a custom board.

But why does pairing and binding with the phone work normally when I set CONFIG_BT_CENTRAL to n?

Is this for nordic DK or your custom board?

I can see you have CONFIG_BT_MAX_PAIRED=2 and CONFIG_BT_MAX_CONN=4. If pairing table is full when central is enabled, security may fail.

Can you please try to set CONFIG_BT_MAX_PAIRED as 4 also and see if it helps?
