This is the baremetal SDK you are referring to here, which is different from the nRF Connect SDK (NCS). Although yes, it is supported.

Yes, though it depends on what you mean by "fully". One important thing to note is that v0.8 is still not fully matured. For more, see here. v1+ is what is considered production-ready. I would definitely recommend you to use the newest version of the SDK.

Depends on what board you use. It is typical to use the DK. Is this what you happen to have?

I'm not sure we have that many tutorials etc. for the baremetal SDK (besides the documentation that is), but there is atleast something here.

Theoretically, this would depend on the revision of the chip, more than the variant. Using the build code, you could map this to a certain version, and check compatability, as well as the errata.

Though I think the most important changes, like changes to start up files and hal, are something that is typically quickly fixed in the SDK by us.

I would choose the newest baremetal SDK version available if you want to go for that SDK. If you can though, I would go straight to nRF Connect SDK (NCS) instead of 'baremetal'. But that choice is ofcourse up to you. I understand that NCS can be a lot to learn.
