I am experiencing significant discrepancies when measuring current with a PPK2 in Ampere Meter mode using a Python API ( ppk2_api ) compared to the official Power Profiler app.
Hardware Setup:

Mode: Ampere Meter

Switching noise can occur on the sample when the ppk2 switches range. Although it shows a high value, the remainder of the following samples will be low.
Question 1: What is the specific filtering logic or algorithm the official app uses to discard or smooth out these hardware range-switching artifacts?
source code of the ppk application is available on our github. I would recommend to look specifically at this function: https://github.com/nordicsemi/pc-nrfconnect-ppk/blob/main/src/device/serialDevice.ts#L137
Issue 2: Baseline Measurement Discrepancy To work around Issue 1 in Python, I implemented a software filter to discard any sample above 10 mA.
I would not recommend to discard samples.

If you rather include the sample in our average measurement; is the measurement then as-expected?

Kind regards,

Håkon
